Can not reproduce. This works for me on both 4.2.2 and trunk. I left-click the tray icon, the window disappears. I left-click it again, it reappears. I can right-click the tray icon to get a little menu.
I can reproduce this problem. Its been there since KDE4.1 atleast. I am on 4.2.2. And the problem persists. When I click on akregator tray icon, nothing happens. Afterwards when I click kmail icon, kontact opens with akregator in focus.
Reproduced on my box also. KDE 4.2.2 x64 opensuse 11.1.
