did you mean "no suitable device found"? (if you didn't: please try phonon-xine instead of -gstreamer)

okay: - recheck your dvb configuration (dvb --> configure dvb) - note that with "older" versions you can't record and watch the same channel at the same time

found the problem - sorry for the regression, guys :) (fixed in svn version 948664+; after deleting the channels and re-scanning it should work again)
Sorry but even after getting kaffeine version 948775 it does not work yet. The only difference is a new error message : "Could not open media source "

because kaffeine uses a phonon feature (AbstractMediaStream) which doesn't work with phonon-gstreamer; there are two alternatives (QIODevice or some fake file), but I need more information before I can go either of those two paths

I think this bug is obsolete. I watch DVB with Kaffeine and phonon-gstreamer backend. Os is ArchLinux with todays updates. Name : kaffeine Version : 1.2.2-2 Name : phonon-gstreamer Version : 4.6.1-1
This bug is too old, for a version < 1.3. Closing it, as the latest version is 2.0.1, and lots of things changed since version 1.2.x, including the usage of VLC as video display backend, support for DVB-T2 and ISDB-T via libVLC, etc. You may check on the upstream version and see if the bug was solved. The README file contains instructions about how to compile it.
