Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27.19-170.2.35.fc10.x86_64

Akregator does not display article bodies, just the tree of feeds and general information about the feed. There is no way to read the news in akreagator. (WTF?)

You seem to have hidden your article view by dragging the horizontal splitter all the way up. You can drag the line down again to reveal the article body area again. The line is right below the search field. Drag it some way down.

Omg, you're right. Oh god, that was silly. Well the splitter is kind of invisible!
