Description Lee Aidos 2009-01-28 22:03:47 UTC
Version: 0.7.svn916096-46.1 (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

NetworkManager-kde4 works fine for WEP connections (have not tested wired networks), but cannot detect my home WPA network. When I save the password for the network in the profile for that connection, when I go back into the profile editor, the password field is empty.

2 problems - please use one BR per problem in future.
1)
Are you quite sure your home WPA network is not listed in the popup? Is it in the Scan widget?

Is the SSID hidden?

2) secrets restore was fixed last week.

The WPA network is not listed in the popup, nor is it in the scan widget, even after establishing a profile for it.

The profile, however, now retains the password.

The SSID is hidden.

Please have a look if your network is listed when you run nm-tool.
Comment 5 Lee Aidos 2009-02-25 00:44:54 UTC
It is.

With revision 963263, WPA-PSK works for me with the ASCII passphrase. Note that hex keys do not work, see bug 191879 which I just filed.

As password storage and connection to hidden networks has been fixed, the only possibly left issue has another BR. I'm closing this one as to avoid confusion.
