Description Christoph Lange 2009-01-15 20:03:18 UTC
Version: 4.1 (using 4.1.4 (KDE 4.1.4), Gentoo)
Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.26-tuxonice

When a script set up as hook fails with an exit code > 0, there is no feedback. (Note that I have only tested this with the SMS hook.) There should at least be a warning message that the script failed. The best solution would be capturing the script's stderr additionally.
Comment 1 Christoph Lange 2009-04-30 18:06:30 UTC
Well, you can wrap the script into something that calls kdialog as a workaround.
Comment 2 Tobias Koenig 2009-08-05 16:40:49 UTC
The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4.
Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product.
