When reading research papers that are divided in two collums, I cant select one complete sentence or paragraph contained in one of the collums without selecting the text contained in the other collum. That makes me have to select line by line in one of the collum, wich is very time consuming.

That's actually an already reported bug.
And it's a wish, as there are no way to distinguish the "columns", if not y doing OCR-like text analysis.
