Description Elias Probst 2008-05-30 01:06:26 UTC
Version: SVN rev 814315 (trunk) (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

If Akregator is restarted, it loses the favicons of the subscribed feeds.

Akregator should keep the favicons, until an updated one is retrieved from the source.

Just commited something to make the situation a bit better for people who don't use fetchOnStartup.

SVN commit 849451 by rytilahti:

force getting the feed icons when 'fetch feeds on startup' is not selected. it makes \
the startup a bit longer, but you do get the site icons before the first update.

Does this fix scale?
What about a bigger archive of hundreds of feeds over more then a month?
Could it be that a big favicon cache also stresses konquerer instances?
My system is regularly completely unusable for minutes while browsing, see also bug
170422.

For me, akgregator also fetches icons only once. When they are removed from cache, they are not downloaded again and all feeds miss their icon.

The icons have been working fine for a reasonably long time now. Perhaps this bug can be closed.
