Version: 3.4.9.1 (using KDE 3.5.9) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux 1/In the "Collection" menu and in the playlist, they are missing a french translation for "Edit track informations". So it is the message "BROKEN TRANSLATION Edit track informations" that appears. 2/An other little french translation bug is: in the contextual menu, the third tab is translated as "Artist" (but in french is "Artiste" (with a "e")
3/ I've just saw others translations missings: -"Artist" is not correctly translated (fr: Artiste) in playlist columns - When you click over a song in the playlist, "manage files"> "Organise file" / "Delete file". "Delete file" isn't translated.
Same for german translation ("BROKEN TRANSLATION"), Ubuntu 8.04.
Amarok problem then. Or yet-another-ubuntu fsckage, who knows...
Mandriva displays those messages correctly in French. This very much looks like a Ubuntu breakage. The "BROKEN TRANSLATION" error message should not appear in that case anyway. Part of the fr .po file: #: collectionbrowser.cpp:1493 playlist.cpp:3926 #, c-format msgid "" "_n: Edit Track &Information...\n" "Edit &Information for %n Tracks..." msgstr "" "Éditer les &informations du morceau...\n" "Éditer les &Informations de ces %n morceaux..." Same for #: playlist.cpp:3908 #, c-format msgid "" "_n: &Delete File...\n" "&Delete %n Selected Files..." msgstr "" "&Effacement du fichier...\n" "&Effacement des %n fichiers sélectionnés..." It's all translated in KDE repository. http://websvn.kde.org/branches/stable/l10n/fr/messages/extragear-multimedia/amarok.po?revision=796021&view=markup
Closing as it's a Ubuntu bug, confirmed by other devels on IRC.
