Description Alan Braslau 2008-03-17 09:36:16 UTC
Version: 1.9.9 (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

kmail has become unstable (and unusable) since upgrade to KDE 3.8.9 (kmail 1.9.9).
- some (random yet reproducible) IMAP messages are missing, yet perfectly readable using another email client (e.g. mutt or icedove) or even kmail on a second computer.
- other (random yet reproducible) IMAP messages show empty message bodies, yet again perfectly visible using another email client.

Note that kmail running on two different computers accessing the same imap account behave differently: messages missing using one client appear on the other and messages showing empty bodies show no problem on the other instance of kmail running on a second computer. This thus appears to be a problem with the IMAP cache. However, "Refresh local IMAP cache" has no effect.

IMAP servers are 1) local dovecot 2) remote MS/exchange 3) remote dovecot.

Again, this instability has (re)appeared since upgrading to KDE 3.8.9/kmail 1.9.9. Thus, kmail has become unreliable and therefore UNUSABLE.
