Description dj_def 2007-06-22 13:55:17 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

When I open system:/media I can't see a device if I just mounted it (i.e. from konsole) and there is no line for that device in fstab. If I open with konqueror /mnt/mountpointdir/ I can see that the device is correctly mounted.
If I put a line in fstab for that device and reboot the system I can see the device in system:/media and I see it too if I unmount it and remount it.
This happens with hard disks but not with floppy or cdrom.

I discovered that it's not a kde bug but something else. I reinstalled dbus with emerge dbus and the problem disappeared

I have the same problem when update to kde 3.5.10, but in previos version of kde 3.5.9 there is no such problem. And other problem, when i put my usb flash into usb there is no pop up message to mount them. And everything goes wrong...
How to fix it? I preinstall dbus, but that takes no effect.
Any suggestions?
