Version:           3.5.6 (using KDE 3.5.6, compiled sources)
Compiler:          Target: x86_64-mandriva-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.17-13mdv

In my $HOME/Transferências/ folder i have some rpms, so i double clicked in one to install it, but after i click in install button in kpackage i got this output:

</home/mmodem/Transfer&#56319;&#57066;ncias/crossover-pro-6.0.1-1.i386.rpm';echo RESULT=$?
erro: o acesso ao ///home/mmodem/Transfer&#56319;&#57066;ncias/crossover-pro-6.0.1-1.i386.rpm falhou: File or folder not found
RESULT=1

So for what i can see kpackage doesnt stand utf8

KPackage was recently removed from KDE SC (since 4.4 beta2) as it was completely broken and unmaintained.

Most of the common GNU/Linux distributions offer their own tools to deal with packages, and KDE is working on an universal package manager replacement named "Shaman" (to superseed KPackageKit)

Closing the KPackage's bug reports as UNMAINTAINED.
