Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.3) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages0 OS: Linux About two weeks ago a stubled upon a rather new music endevor. Its called Pandora(www.pandora.com) and is based on the Music Genome Project(MGP). The Idea is that you type in a name of a song or a band and using a rather slow flash obejct Pandora finds similar songs in terms of vocality style and such. currently the only way to use pandora is by going into the site and using their falsh animation which has quite a few bugs(as not working at all on Opera in linux claiming that they are having technical difficulties and are scrambling people to fix it). In addition to a few rather annoying bugs the flash is quite slow a gobbles up proccesor time and RAM. If the Amarok(which is already a great music player and would only enchence its usebility by adding Pandora to its repertoire of uses and allowing people to get to know alot of new artists and songs) team could reach somekind of an understanding with Pandora(as they have certain licensing problems such as: they cant play songs on dement and have a certain amount of song skips in an hour) about incorperating Pandora in Amarok so that I can use it without a RAM gobbeling browser then there are a few people who I know who will eat their Gates loving hearts out. thanks in advance. a real fan of Amarok.
By reading you description, it seems Pandora is like last.fm, but with less features. last.fm web interface is quite good, by the way.
