Version: 4.5.2 (kind) (using KDE KDE 3.4.2) Installed from: Debian stable Packages OS: Linux When I use kpilot (great program, thank you) to sync with the notepad the sync will fail when it reaches the notepad-contiut and go no further. I have the sync below. I can re-produce this everytime. 09:40:25 Using encoding UTF-8 on the handheld. 09:40:25 [File Installer] 09:40:25 No Files to install 09:40:25 [Internal Editors] 09:40:25 Databases with changed records: 09:40:25 Databases with changed flags: 09:40:25 Databases with changed AppBlock: 09:40:25 [Conduit knotes-conduit] 09:40:25 KNotes is not running. The conduit must be able to make a DCOP connection to KNotes for synchronisation to take place. Please start KNotes and try again. 09:40:25 The conduit knotes-conduit could not be executed. 09:40:25 [Conduit notepad-conduit] The program simply sits there and I need to close and re-open kpilot to be able to do another sync, or almost anything else in kpilot. When I uncheck notepad in the preferences this fixes the problem, but I do not get a notepad sync. I am using a Palm Tungsten-E and I connect using the USB cable.
I experience the same problem using kpilot from Debian testing (says version 4.5.4) and a Palm Zire 21. The Daemon seems to crash because the tray icon disappears immediately when the notepad-conduit is reached. I'll attach the KPilot protocol (german) and the output the daemon when started from command line. Maybe the last thing it says, "QImage::scanLine: Index 352 out of range", gives you a hint.

I have the same problem. In addition, I get the following message from the crash handler: The application KPilot Daemon crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV) Angela Canas

Sorry, guys, but this conduit isn't going to move forward into KDE 4.2 without someone else stepping up to fix and maintain it.
