Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.1) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux In every application that uses the standard "select file dialog" of KDE there is no way to go up in the folder hierarchy by using the keyboard. This is very annoying since I'm using the keyboard whenever possible. From Konqueror and Krusader I am used to hit BACKSPACE or CTRL-Up to navigate. Please add such a feature. A very easy workaround would be to just add the ".." entry to the file list such that one can go up by hitting HOME + ENTER.
IIRC (don't have KDE available right now) there are key bindings for "up", "back", etc but they only work when the file view has the focus. The keys don't work when the file line edit has the focus.
Moving from "kio/kfile" component to "kfile" product, helps sorting out duplicates.
alt+up arrow key does it.
