Description David Mathy 2005-06-14 15:07:06 UTC
Version: 3.4 (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package
OS: Linux

I'm using Kubuntu. But I think this is a general problem (not related to any version).
When configuring my korganizer, I define the Holiday Region to Belgium (where I live).
But in Belgium, there are 2 languages: french and dutch. (ok there is also german, but this is a very small community).
And the holiday items are in dutch only.

Would it be possible to make eg 2 (or 3 :-) ) entries like Belgium - French, Belgium - Dutch, ...?
Another workaround would be to describes the holidays in English *only*.

Thanks in advance

Sure, it's possible. But we don't know the French names for the Belgian holidays...
So, could you please take the file /usr/share/apps/libkholidays/holiday_be (it's a pure text file), translate the holiday names and send them to us?

Thanks,
Reinhold

Dear Reinhold,

I just translatted the holiday_be file. I also deleted the
non-official holiday entries.
This way, this calender is the exact definition of the belgian
holidays by the federal government.

Best regards,

David

PS: when will this version be available in the official releases?

Holydays-Belgium.tgz

I corrected the holydays in the three languages of Belgium used in KDE : Dutch
(NL), French (FR) and Walloon (WA).

I corrected names and "weekend" or not entries.

Can you please add these to the official sources.
