This still happens with kmail from just a few weeks ago, albeit in a slightly different way, at least here. Select the "sent-mail" folder, choose "Send again..." from any message's context menu, then switch the sender identity: The body doesn't disappear as in the bug reporter's case, but suddenly all periods are stripped from the body! Occasionally I forget to put them in again, and the sent message likely makes me look like a complete idiot for the receiver, as someone who doesn't bother to write correctly. Sometimes it's necessary to switch the sender identity twice to get the funny/nasty period stripping effect. Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback. |
