i've discussed this to death. search bugs.kde.org for icon zooming bugs or my blog for entries on icon zooming if you're interested in the reasoning. executive summary: icon zooming was buggy by design, fixing it would bring us into breach of "IP" owned by large companies, the mouse overs serve a useful purpose in addition to providing *unique* eye candy. > This is one of the few things that distinguished it from > everything else out there except MacOS, which is where KDE's icon zooming was (poorly) copied from. there are many other things far more unique to KDE than an icon that "pops" when you mouse over it. > more Windows xp than windows xp ah yes; you don't like it, so it's like Windows. =) reopen to mark as dup (bug #95783) |
