Version:           1.1.0_devel (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Installed from:    Slackware Packages

When kst is installed, it does not install an appropriate kst entry in the kde menuing system.  There is no way to start kst without typing 'kst' in a terminal or on the Run menu option.  kst should fully install itself in the kde framework.

It does for me.  It gets filed under Utilities->More Programs though.  Not ideal.   I think this is due to XDG changes.

You're right, it is there.  Just never thought to look there very hard.

We are still trying to figure out why it gets placed in the wrong location in the menu for at least two of us.  Once we know, then we can close it.

   Well, I think I know how to do it, but I'm not sure where it "should" be 
placed (to conform to XDG standards, and to make sure it works on different 
distros, which presently is the problem).  I think either a Science toplevel 
menu, or Applications->...  The people who install it certainly have a 
particular need for it and want it to be prominent.
