Description Maciej J . Woloszyk 2005-02-10 08:34:21 UTC
Version: 1.7.91 (using KDE 3.3.92 (beta2), Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.5-r1, ssp-3.3.2-3, pie-8.7.7.1)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.10-gentoo-r5

When displaying mail folders it's panel should be displayed in one colour (usually white). Unfortunatelly the part with the folders tree is displayed in a shade of gray while the rest (unread count etc.) is displayed correctly.

Ok. My mistake - I've just found out what's going on ("shade sorted column in list" in colors kcm module. However the setting (either disabling it or setting contrast) does not seems to work, so the bug report should be reassignd to whoever is responsible.

Just to point put that the shading turns intself off if there is only one column in a table. So if you right click on the column heading and disable the read and unread columns (which I think should be the default) the shading will disappear.

Well... maybe, but I like to know how much unread messages I have in folder especially when I download mail after some time.
I don't mind the shading as long as it can be turned off or at least made less "shady" ;)
And additionally - when the KMail folder list is shorted than the height of it's container the shading ends with the end of lists what makes it look even worse - you get the ugly gray rectangle in a white container instead of grey column.

Still an issue in KDE 4.3

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.
Comment 6 Luigi Toscano 2012-08-19 00:43:55 UTC
Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
Comment 7 Maciej J . Woloszyk 2012-08-19 10:46:03 UTC
I'm sorry but I stopped using kmail right after it became kmail2 and it stopped beeing usable. I don't know if anything changed since then - sorry.
