Description Ben Burton 2005-02-07 23:12:07 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

(Received through the debian BTS as #283431.)

The user has reported the following issue with the slideshow screensaver over multiple monitors, and has included a patch. I can't examine or test any of this myself (not having the required hardware), so I'm just sending it to you as is. - Ben.

Original report:

The slideshow screensaver centres images, which splits them over multiple monitors when using Xinerama. This makes it hard to enjoy the images. Attached is a patch to make slideshow centre the image on the primary screen instead.

I think a nicer solution would be to mirror the image on both screens or also to select a different image for each screen.

The screen locker architecture changed with Plasma 5. The classic screen savers are no longer supported. The 4.x series won't see any further feature development, so this bug report won't be implemented as it doesn't apply to our current version any more.

I want to thank you for your bug report and for helping improving the quality of our software and I'm sorry that we were not able to provide a fix before we retired the affected component.
