Actually, it is a duplicate of bug 13223, but since it is closed, and obviously not totally solved, I open a new one.

The trash has been totally reformulated for KDE 3.4. The bugs for versions <= 3.3.x are no longer valid.

Can you retest with 3.4 beta 1?
