Sentry Crash Report:

Description Simon Roby 2005-01-29 09:59:44 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.91)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.3 20041125 (Gentoo Linux 3.4.3-r1, ssp-3.4.3-0, pie-8.7.7)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.10-gentoo-r6

I have already reported this in bug 50991, but it was already closed at the time so I guess it was not noticed. So here it goes again:

A Netware FTP server reports Netware permissions instead of standard POSIX. This confuses kio_ftp when it's parsing the ftp output, so all files are seen as with all flags turned off (ie. 0000).

Here's an example output of dir, taken from a terminal ftp client:
 d [RWCEAFMS] AG80860 512 Nov 5 13:08 LOG220
 d [RWCEAFMS] AG80860 512 Dec 2 12:13 Mozilla Firefox
 - [RWCEAFMS] AG80860 14336 Nov 25 16:09 R5.doc
 - [RWCEAFMS] AG80860 0 Nov 23 14:06 blank.jpg
 d [RWCEAFMS] AG80860 512 Nov 25 16:19 lab3

Therefore, when browsing a Netware FTP server, kio_ftp should fallback to sane permissions for everything (ie. rw-r--r--).
