Version: 1.7.1 (using KDE 3.3.1, (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-3)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.27-1-686

Hello!

I'd like to be able to right-click an e-mail address (foo@hotmail.com, foo@jabber.org) in kmail and have the possibility to add it to kopete as a contact.

I know jabber addresses can't be used to write e-mails, but when I receive an e-mail where a jabber ID is written, I'd like to be able to add it directly to kopete.

Thnx!

David Gil

This can help to impement the feature: http://wiki.jabber.org/index.php/Jabber_Email_Header

So, if such a header is detected, KMail can show an option to add the user to Kopete (or the default Jabber client according to the settings). If the user is not yet in the roster of course.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.

It seems that telepathy is going to release 0.5 really soon. Probably in a year will replace kopete in most of the distributions. Telepathy-kde AFAIK uses akonadi to store contacts, so doing development on kopete side will be probably a waste of time. That said, if anyone still prefers using kopete, and he is willing to do that development, go ahead :)

Thank you for the fast feedback.
