Description Dhraak 2005-01-20 05:47:34 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.91)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

The "Use Gestures for activating the above features" checkbox in kcontrol > Regional & Accessibility > Accessibility > Keyboard does not appear to actually deactivate the gestures. Instead, it seems to only disable the message telling the user that such features have been activated.

steps to reproduce:
1. Go to kcontrol > Regional & Accessibility > Accessibility > Keyboard, uncheck the "Use Gestures for activating the above features" checkbox, and apply the change
2. hold the shift key down for 8 seconds (or use one of the other two gestures listed in the "what's this" help for the previously mentioned checkbox)
3. try to type without holding the keys down for longer than normal (or make use one of the other keyboard accessibility features)
