Description jamethknorth 2005-01-16 20:53:26 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from: Slackware Packages

When using walk-through-windows windows set to "keep above" or "keep below" will not be included in the list of windows to cycle through. This doesn't happen with alt-tab, which works differently despite being set to the same action; alt-tab shows the window list.

Sometimes it will cycle through the other windows and just skip the keep-above and keep-below windows. Sometimes it will stop moving whenever it reaches the point in the list where a keep-above or keep-below window is. I haven't found any reason why it happens one way as opposed to the other, but the error where it stops at keep-above windows is more common.

The same thing happens when using walk-through-windows-reverse, but not when using walk-through-windows-list.

What exactly do you mean with walk-through-windows when it's not Alt+Tab?

If you bind another key to walk-through windows as the secondary key. Currently, mine is set to XF86Back (extra keyboard button) but the same thing happens with Win+Tab or Ctrl+Tab. If an Alt key is in the shortcut anywhere, it displays a list of windows in the center of the screen and cycles through that. If not, it just cycles through the windows. This error only occurs if you use a method that does not have that list appear.

KDE-style Alt+Tab switches to CDE mode for single key shortcuts.

Whatever the change in mode, it fails to move past keep-above and keep-below windows, which is the main issue.
