Most download managers for windows had this functionality since 1998 if I believe correctly. Ever since kget came out I was hoping it would getting at some stage, but 3.4-beta1 already and nothing.

To explain the feature request in more detail, kget already splits file into multiple chunks to download, but I want each of those chunks to be fetched from different mirrors. I also want kget to accept mirrors being added manually and have it search popular ftp searches for sources.

If you have a slow mirror, and kget simply creates 5 connections to that same mirror, chances are you'll just get banned, not gain speed. Thats a definite no-no in my books and you see complaints from admins all over the web.
