It would be nice if the nickname list on the right showed users' "full names" (from the /whois output), if possible.

People put funny things in Real Name part. But if you go ahead and associate a nick with an addressbook entry you will see the real name right of the nick.

I was considering this behaviour, and at the time didn't do it so it was obvious which contacts where associated and which weren't.
I want to steal the dialog from kopete that lets you customise the tooltip and extend that to modify the nick list
