The new url of the project is http://hplip.sourceforge.net I came here to file the same idea. The hplip toolset now covers a whole range of HP laserjets and inkjets, reporting ink levels, colour calibration, display of front panel and all kinds of stuff. Run "hp-toolbox" to get an idea of what it can do for your printer. It would be good as a beginning to get ink level reporting for HP printers (at the moment, you have to run a test page, or know that the hp-* command-line tools exist). hplip have a gui with qt now. integrate this wish in print-manager? Hi, kdelibs (version 4 and earlier) is no longer maintained since a few years. KDE Frameworks 5 or 6 might already have implemented this wish. If not, please re-open against the matching framework if feasible or against the application that shows the issue. We then can still dispatch it to the right Bugzilla product or component.
