Description Roland Seuhs 2005-01-05 17:58:31 UTC
Version: 1.6.2 (using KDE 3.3.0, SuSE)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.4-52-default

If you send an email with no subject and a attached file, it is currently sent with no subject.

It would be great when KMail could create a meaningful subject (for example:

[filename.ext]
file:filename.ext

or something similar.

This would make finding files that were sent to you a lot easier.
(Which benefits of course the sender, too because the receiver doesn't have to re-ask for it)

I would like to build on this request by having the option to edit email subject lines - as most people have no idea how to correctly title emails. Then we could edit the emails that do not contain any subject line and edit those that contain obscure subject lines.

Having looked through the other bugs this one: 55576 is more like what I am suggesting - and could mean getting two birds with one stone!

When kmail asks to specify a subject or go on sending this could be a third option - if an attachment exists.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
