Description _ 2005-01-03 15:48:21 UTC
Version: 0.15 (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Compiler: gcc 3.4.3
OS: Linux

When connection to lots of servers/channels, users get an OSD flood (many OSD messages) which is not needed - this could be fixed by stopping highlighting in e.g. onjoin/quit messages (it doesn't make sense to highlight "(yournickname) joined #channel").

This is fixed in current cvs

I'm getting these "excess floods" with Konversation 1.0.1 using kde 3.5.7 on Gentoo amd64.

I don't really understand what's going on, but can't Konversation notice that it gets disconnected because of "excess flood" and not do the thing which can cause that, in addition to popping up some help as to what settings to change to not have it happen again?

Others also seem to have encountered this:

Please reopen

This bug report is concerned with heavy activity of the On-Screen Display during the connection process, not with being disconnected due to flooding the server. Please open a new report.
