Sentry Crash Report:

Description Andy 2005-01-03 00:15:48 UTC
Version: 0.9.1 (using KDE KDE 3.3.1)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
OS: Other

I don't know why but frequently the icon in the notification area dissapears and the only way to show the contact list again is t o restart it from the kde-menu.

I'm using Fedora Core 3 Heidelbergh on a P4 @4.3Ghz, 1Gb Ram, Dualhead in (2 desktops)

If you need more info, don't hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for your GREAT product!

This may be related to but 93592 which I reported previously. It fixed itself
when I removed backingstore from my xorg.conf file.

I have no such setting in my xorg.conf file

I guess this may be caused by a crash or something like that.
Or are some chatwindow still avaliable ?

Can you run kopete with the option --nofork in a terminal, and see what's happen there when the systray icon disapears.

I'm sorry about not getting back to you sooner but it seems that my stupidity played a big role in this bug report. As it turns out I have two heads and the head that was running kopette didn't have its proper notification area turned on.... stupid me.

Anyway thank you for your help.
