Open text file. Copy text. Close text file.
Open another text file. Icon for Paste is enabled.
Press paste. Nothing is pasted.

KEdit is being discontinued. It's only still there because it has a few features Kate/KWrite doesn't have yet.

BTW, before you post your next bug about this, Klipper is written with a K.
