The KDE printing dialog has the option to select short or long edge duplex printing.
It would be nice to rotate of 90 the icon of long edge printing for better usability.
It would be also nice to have bigger icon there.
Also a unified preview of the number of page per sheet and duplex type would improve a lot the usability.

Yes, I agree. Some of these very meaningful icons are hardly readeble for grandpas like me :-)

KDEPrint is obsolete, unmaintained and will never be revived.  Closing all open bugs.
