Description Bojan 2004-12-12 20:06:58 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.2)
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package

Open konqueror
Add one of the following icons to toolbar: cut, delete, copy
Select root module in left panel (sidebar).
Go to home/<username> in sidebar.
While directory is selected, delete icon does not "light up". Also cut and copy do not light up.
Click on right pane on the same folder.
Icon lights up.

When click on folder in right panel, folder on the left should be deselected, or outlined.
So you know which folder are deleting/copying/cutting. The one in the left panel, or the one of the right.

The delete/cut/copy buttons reflect the main window and not the sidebar. A system to indicate this is a feature desired on this bug. Changing it to wishlist and confirming.

This is no more needed in KDE4 which store the settings for each folder.

Sorry, I've wrote on the wrong bug.

I think it would be extremely confusing if the sidebar actually received focus; it's on purpose that it does not.

OTOH, bug 80584 shows that many people think it should get focus ;)
