Description S. Burmeister 2004-12-08 15:02:19 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Open the desktop-properties and try to add a directory to the slideshow list.
It's close to impossible, which is why I consider this a bug and not a wishlist-item.
I have detailed-view enabled and when I click a directory to select it (not open) it is opened. This happens when clicking the foldername, fair enough, but also when I click on the details. The latter is handled differently in konqueror, I guess because otherwise it is nearly impossible to select and not open a folder.

Expected behaviour, do not select folder when ones clicks on the details. For people who do not display details in that dialogue one might consider to select when CTRL is pressed.

Moving from "kio/kfile" component to "kfile" product, helps sorting out duplicates.

This is because you are using single-click (in Input Devices > Mouse). The items do not auto-open in double-click mode.
