Description Martin Gebert 2004-12-05 15:38:18 UTC
Version: 3.1.1 (using KDE KDE 3.3.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Setting KDev to Tabbed mode, the layout is quite odd on the next start. When changing layout, it is still like it was at the first start; the changes aren't saved. See attached screenshot.

The KDockWidget layout restoration is too buggy to use, so we don't use it. It's been like this for a long time and is likely to stay this way until KMDI/KDockWidget is fixed or we port KDevelop away from KMDI. The latter seems more likely.

dupe of? I have an idea: close it as dupe. :-)

I'm not sure if this exact bug has been reported elsewhere, but it IS KMDI. Kate shows the same behaviour. Reassigning.
Comment 6 Christian Hilberg 2005-05-03 16:09:45 UTC
Funny enough, KDevelop 3.0.4 on KDE 3.3.2 does not mess up the tabbed window layout after restarting. In fact, I observed this behaviour since KDevelop 3.1 on various systems using different versions of KDE...
