Version:           0.9.1 (using KDE KDE 3.3.1)
Installed from:    Gentoo Packages
Compiler:          GCC 3.4
OS:                Linux

A user can set a different visibility for a specific contact:
right click on contact > contact <protocol_id> > Set Availability > ...

But the problem is thet the currently selected availability is not indicated. There should be a checkmark before the selected availability in this menu for example and/or it should be indicated in some way on contact list.

And also is there a way to reset that to the default ?

You can reset it to your default presence by reselecting your presence in the account's contact menu.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
