I am not sure what you think is wrong. If course it is twice as loud when you play two sounds. Sounds should just get mixed. If I hold backspace in konsole for just one second, the beep has changed into a horribly loud noise. I don't think that is what it's suppost to be. I find Allan's comment confusing myself. But I don't notice the problem. The point is that when two sounds are played, they are added together. This means that if the volume for one sound is 15 and for the other it is 20, the total volume will be 35. The only way to avoid that would be if you halved the volume for each sound when two are played, but that would be plain odd. I am closing because it works as intended, and as it does in Real Life(TM) I understand it now at least :) This is the same as my two birds, that make together more noise than each of them alone ;) |
