There is no akregator neither kmail notifier to a kicker applet.
Some kparts do and there should be a way to proxy them to a single kontact applet.

Yes,

Sorry for the bad bug title. I was not inspired...Wow...and the description is 
as well poor...my apologies.

In fact when I discovered the (rather hidden) Kmail tray icon feature I was 
happy enough with my "notification needs". Before that I only figured to have 
mail arrival announcements with an external application with tray support and 
that seemed odd to me.

I though an integrated kontact kicker applet should be desirable to notify all 
kind of events within kontact. As a wish that's still an idea so...if it's 
feasible do what you like.
