Uhm, this is the way that the info list view works for every mime type. Just try it with images or movies. If you want to sort by date use the "detailed" view. I agree that there should probably be some rethinking of how this is done in general, but this is hardly specific to the mp3 plugin... Just because it is not specific to the mp3 plugin does not make int invalid. It should be re-assigned thren though. Sorry, can not help here. FSView never supported sorting. Assigning to Konqueror/General. All reports about file management mode reported against KDE 3 (konqueror) has been closed: konqueror in KDE 3 is no more developed and mantained. All bugs and wishes which could be interesting for Dolphin in KDE 4 (the new KDE file manager) has been collected into a specific list. Please try the new file manager before request new features and report bugs. Before submitting new reports check carefully the already opened KDE/Dolphin reports in order not to add duplicates.
