Description Jason Keirstead 2004-11-01 15:46:23 UTC
Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

When you have the mp3 meta info plugin installed, there is no longer any ability to sort by date in directories with all mp3 files! The column is absent - it is also not available in View->Show Details

I do not consider this a wishlist since it is a pretty grave bug if you ask me.
Comment 1 Scott Wheeler 2004-11-01 16:01:15 UTC
Uhm, this is the way that the info list view works for every mime type. Just try it with images or movies. If you want to sort by date use the "detailed" view.

I agree that there should probably be some rethinking of how this is done in general, but this is hardly specific to the mp3 plugin...
Comment 2 Jason Keirstead 2004-11-01 16:07:58 UTC
Just because it is not specific to the mp3 plugin does not make int invalid. It should be re-assigned thren though.
Comment 3 Josef Weidendorfer 2004-11-02 10:45:56 UTC
Sorry, can not help here. FSView never supported sorting.
Assigning to Konqueror/General.

All reports about file management mode reported against KDE 3 (konqueror) has been closed: konqueror in KDE 3 is no more developed and mantained. All bugs and wishes which could be interesting for Dolphin in KDE 4 (the new KDE file manager) has been collected into a specific list.

Please try the new file manager before request new features and report bugs.

Before submitting new reports check carefully the already opened KDE/Dolphin reports in order not to add duplicates.

Many thanks.
