And how would you select the message you want to attach? a new "attach email" menu entry should lead to a list of email's titles in the inbox folder to choose from (also, an ability to choose a different folder) i'd love to see this feature coming up in the next versions of kmail :-) So we'd have to show an Open File like dialog to select an email message? That doesn't sound like a particularly smart idea because the user would have to learn a second way for selecting a message in a folder (unless we put a complete main window into the Attach Message dialog). If anything then I think it would be better to add an option "Attach to composed message" (needs better wording) to the Message menu. Then you'd select the messages you want to attach in the normal main window and invoke this new option. If only one composer window is open the messages would be attached immediately. Otherwise, you'd have to choose the correct composer window from the (short) list of open composers. why not have a new kind of simple dialog for adding an attachment. with folders on the left and email titles on the right (for the selected folder). for selecting the email attachments. and i think it should be invoked from the composer attach menu. so there is no confusion where to attach the emails to. Come on. You can drag the mail as an attachment or forward the mail as an attachment. This third way sounds not very useable - it mainly copies what you can do in the kmail main window currently |
