Version: 2.3 (using KDE 3.3.0, Gentoo) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 20040623 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.4-r1, ssp-3.3.2-2, pie-8.7.6) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.25 Hello, I am editing c-like scripting file which has the .txt extention. With kate 2.2 the default behaviour where prefect, and I could edith them like c. But now (v 2.3) I can't find a way to edit those .txt like .c or .cpp. For instance, when I double-click on a word in parentheses, the whole line is selected instead of the word only. I still can configure each file with the menu Tools->Highlight Mode->Sources->C++, and for an obscure reason to me, it remember to keep the C++ highlighting and C-like editing when I restart kate. This is currently an usable workaround for me. But I'd like to be able to specify the default editing behaviour (and highlighting), or per-extention editing (and highlighting) behaviour.
