*** This bug has been confirmed by popular vote. *** also have a look at Bug 64695: Including locate updatedb module ... We do not add things based on wishlists; it's up to the maintainer to ask for their inclusion. If the maintainer wasn't the reporter, I'd close this as INVALID. I'll suggest you e-mail k-c-d instead. @Maksim Orlovich Please have a look on the Reporters name and on the homepage URL of kio-locate. I think with bugreport/vote was more like a call for supporting documentation before Armin Straub would go and plead with kio maintainers about the package's inclusion. This step effectively eliminates the "Does someone really need this?" question. I hope kio-locate gets into base soon. Good luck Armin. I'm really sorry, if such bug reports should not be posted. But Daniel is right. If no one would like kio-locate to be included, it shouldn't be (and distributed by itself). What is meant by k-c-d (I already feel ashamed...;-)? I hope it gets included, it is very useful. Comment 3 already said everything necessary, still seeing no mail on kde-core-devel. >>> What is meant by k-c-d...?
I think he was just too lazy to write kde-core-devel (the mailing list).
Armin, please write a mail to that list and ask for inclusion of kio-locate into KDE-3.4.
