Fine for you. :-) Fail to see the relation to KDE.
That should read "I am having a problem..." :-0 The relation (I might be mistaken here) is that the problem surfaces only with the new version of kde (3.3.1). The problem with the attached spec file exists only in the new kde environment. I have the following in my ~/.bashrc as per the new KDE install directions... KDEDIR=/home/sv/kde3.3.1 PATH=$KDEDIR/bin:$PATH LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$KDEDIR/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH export KDEDIR PATH LD_LIBRARY_PATH LIBRARY_PATH Is it possible that this could create incompatibilities with the way gcc works? And if such incompatibilities do exist, is it a gcc problem or KDE problem? I just want to be pointed in the right direction so I don't continue barking up the wrong tree. Appreciate your help. > to post this as a bug to get proper help

Hi Stephan, Thanks for your prompt responses. I am relatively new to KDE and Linux in general. I apologize for sending my problems to the wrong forum. Could you be kind enough to let me know what the most appropriate forum @kde.org would be for seeking help for the problem I'm facing?
