I have kopete managed by the KDE session management, i.e. it is started automatically at KDE startup und gets terminated by KDE at the end of the session.

The problem is, that changes like changing an contact group icon or hiding the search bar are not saved if I don't explicitly quit kopete. In other words, if kopete is terminated by an session end it doesn't save it.

I second this! It does not even save the window size of the main kopete window, very annoying. Could this be realted to kopete crashing on every session logout? I use the latest Suse RPMs.

Heiko: is Kopete crashing on session end for you? It seems to, at the moment. That'd certainly explain the symptoms nicely :) Please reopen if not.
