When I want through a file into the trashcan I am told that there is a duplicate filename and I am questioned if I want to overwrite the old file or give a new filename. This is a logic behavior assuming that linux/kde is just removing the file into a different directory. But it is annoying to. I can remember this behavior under Windows and a real life trashcan. So it would be good to have it reacting like a trash can. If there are 2 files with the same name it just should be able to keep both. May be by having a subdictionary for duplicate filenames or what ever ...

KDE 3.4 will have a brand new trash can

Bug closed. Kdesktop is no more mantained.
