Sorry, I can't post the presentation as attachment. Even bzip2-compressed, it's more than 1000K :( Please try another document of your's which isn't too small. My presentation contained 54 pages and is about 1.3 MB. Same problem with KDE Version:0.20 (KDE 3.3.0, SuSE) Application: Postscript; PDF Viewer; Operating System: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8-24.5-default Compiler:gcc version 3.3.4 (pre 3.3.5 20040809) SuSE: 9.2 Any PDF document printing 2 or 4 pages per sheet does not work (kprinter+CUPS). However multiple pages per sheet works when printing PS. Same problem here on KDE 3.2.2, Gentoo. I will attach the CUPS log containing the debug messages below. Created attachment 9355 [details]

I think i have a similar bug. I'm using Linux KDE 3.3.2 with kghostview 0.20 SuSE RPM's on a SuSE 9.1 System. printing more than one page per sheet does not work. if i have a 6 pages pdf file and want to print 2 pages per sheet i get 6 empty pages out of the printer. the print preview in kprinter shows only one page per sheet, not two as is should be, this may be the reason because i get 6 rather than 3 empty pages. using kprinter <filename>.pdf and then selecting 2 pages per sheet works well. (This report should have been assigned to KDEPrint, not kghostview...) It is not a bug, it is the way the system works. To achieve an output exactly as you describe, you have to make KDEPrint use its external pre-filters. For some ideas about this, see this link: http://www.kdedevelopers.org/node/2630 This is a duplicate of the following bugs: Bug 82123 : Printing odd/even pages with multiple pages per sheet gets silly results (DUPLICATE) Bug 107936 : [KDE4] multiple pages on one sheet not in right order NEW Bug 92962 : Option for number-up-layout=???? (page ordering on multiple pages) missing in kprinter (DUPLICATE) Bug 97669 : multipage reverse printouts in wrong order (DUPLICATE) Bug 103666 : [KDE4] facilitate margin adjustment for double-sided printing (DUPLICATE) Bug 108484 : printing multiple pages per sheet with reverse option selected (DUPLICATE) Please continue discussion at bug 107936 and transfer your bug votes if you care. Should you still have similar problems, don't miss to read the hints given in the comment section at bug 107936 and at bug 82123 before you open a new bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 107936 *** |
