Description Michał Kosmulski 2004-10-17 21:18:15 UTC
Version: 0.7 beta 1 (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Compiler: gcc 3.3.4
OS: Linux

In the tips displayed by Help->"tip of the Day", there are lots of spelling and grammar mistakes (some are just typos). Some of them include:

Did you know that if you want reduce the space disk used by your images in the Albums database, you could try using the Recompress Images plugin?
(missing 'to')

Did you know that Kipi plugins who can be used also in Digikam, Kimdaba, Showimg, and Gwenview programs?
(unneccessary 'who')

Did you know that albums in Digikam are Folders in your Album Library? So you could easily imported your Photos by simply copying them to your Album Library.
(should be 'import', not 'imported')

Did you know that you could reach other users and Digikam developers using the digikam-users mailing list? Subscribe yourself to the list using https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/digikam-users.
(this one's OK, but only 'an' was displayed in place of 'and' - I realized the 'd' wasn't missing only after copying the text into this report. Maybe that's a bug in the KDE 'tip of the day' component ?

Did you know that you could use and on your Keyboard to switch between the photos in the image editor?
(I don't even know what this was supposed to be about)

Did you know that you could use the album collection feature to get your Photos sorted into two levels? First, the collection; then, the album.
(this one should be removed, as it was OK for digikam 0.6.x, but for 0.7.x it's not much use any more - nested albums are allowed now, so there can be arbitrarily many levels)
