This seems to be implemented now (KDE 3.4), but the feature could be improved. (If necessary I'll open a new report.) When I move the mouse over the online status, the "link" location in the status bar shows "im:aAavhwGAG" (or something like that) which is suboptimal. Couldn't that be somewhat more verbose? If not, then it would probably be better to remove it, since it's unwanted debugging output at best. Furthermore, for a kopete metacontact only one icon is shown. For example for a contact that has both jabber and ICQ, only jabber is shown. (It's probably because this is my preferred protocol.) It would be better to show all available protocols and make each icon a "link" to the respective contact (that is, send a message over the chosen protocol). Apart from that, thanks for implementing this ;-) Fixed in KDE4. The status bar now displays "Work online". |
