Something like this is implemented in the folderview plasmoid, but I agree that it might be useful to have an action for scrolling on an icon (maybe it should change color). Seems like a good idea for a widget! Feel free to write one. :) |
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.0) Installed from: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux When you have marked an icon on in the desktop or a konqueror window there is no real use of wheel mouse (not in gnome either for that case). Nothing happens if you scroll up or down or push the wheel button. A good use would be the following! Say if you have a directory structure like this under your desktop! Desktop/ | Keyhan's home/ | my documents/ my media/ | movies/ music/ keyhan.jpg So now, when we mark "Keyhan's home" and use scroll up or down a droplist of directories beneath it (my documents, my media), is shown and scrolled through, if you click middle button on "my media" then a second droplist is shown with "movies" and "music" directories in it. But if you left click on it then a konqueror window of the chosen directory is opened showing all the files and directories(movies/ music/ and keyhan.jpg). What do you think? Isn't it great? Would love to hear your idea about this. cheers Keyhan
